Do you have what it takes to be a Paid On Call Firefighter with the County Fire Protection District?
If you meet the following requirements you might.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- A Resident of Williamson County
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Have a clean driving record
W.C.F.P.D. will provide you with required training, You will get a yearly stipend for your time and effort.

About W.C.F.P.D.
The
Williamson County Fire Protection District (W.C.F.P.D.) consists of 7
fire stations with the headquarters located at 3232 South Park
Avenue in Herrin, Illinois.
The district is managed by a full time paid
Chief, 3 Career Firefighters and a Secretary.
The
district has a wide variety of specialized equipment and well equipped
trained paid-on-call members. The district is equipped for most
emergencies that may arise with 8 engines, 8 tenders with 2,500 gallons
of water each, 8 brush trucks, and 72 Paid On Call firefighters.
The W.C.F.P.D. is
governed by a 5 member board of directors comprised of individuals from
Williamson County. Board meetings are held monthly and are open
to residents of the county
